Circle Member Roles

When we have our first meeting, we will assign roles.
Some of the roles are permanent and some will rotate because they require more work.
The roles are:
Theme leader – with guidance from the circle leader, leads circle through the problem solving steps.
Gate Keeper – Ensures that everyone abides by the ground rules the circle agreed upon together.
Recorder/Note taker – Takes minutes, assists in gathering data, reviews key points at the end of each meeting.
Time keeper – Keeps track of time to support getting through the agenda in a timely manner each meeting.
Storyboard keeper – Keeps track of the story board
Power Point dev - Makes power point slides
Excel dev – Enters data, produces charts and graphs
Stakeholder liaison – Contacts stakeholders.
Data Collector – Observes problem and records data
Our work cannot be done only by having one weekly meeting. Outside work must be done each week.
For example, the data collector will need to record data by observing the problem on several occasions;
The powerpoint dev and excel dev will have to spend a couple of hours making the slides and graphs at home;
The stakeholder liaison will have to go and meet stakeholders before/after work or during lunch.
Therefore, I recommend we rotate these roles after each step.
